This little light of mine, I'm gonna let it shine.

Grateful for… :)

1.) An amaaazing, memorable trip to New York with my moon child, my wonderful sister, Judy! Traveling is love, love, love, and traveling with my sister was double the love! haha Every time I’m blessed with the opportunity/resources to travel, I seize it… no hesitations, no questions asked! ;)

2.) Judy turning a year lovelier tomorrow! Should I say your age? Nah. Age is only in the mind! Tomorrow is just a day to celebrate the arrival and introduction of your hotness to the world! hahahaha ;)

Happy birthday, my Judy pie and all your MIND-BLOWING hotness! ;)))

3.) The sunshine today. And the rain tomorrow. Methinks the world is beautiful in all types of weather, and whatever the weather is… it is exactly what we need.

Soo many more blessings this past week that I’m overflowing with gratitude for, but it’s sleepy time for me… so it’s time to sing you puppies to sleep. ;) Good night!

“Fill your bowl to the brim
and it will spill.
Keep sharpening your knife
and it will blunt.
Chase after money and security
and your heart will never unclench.
Care about people’s approval
and you will be their prisoner.

Do your work, then step back.
The only path to serenity.”

Sharing is caring time - NYC edition! :)

“Ric Elias had a front-row seat on Flight 1549, the plane that crash-landed in the Hudson River in New York in January 2009. What went through his mind as the doomed plane went down? At TED, he tells his story publicly for the first time.”

  • “I no longer wanna postpone anything in life, and that urgency, that purpose has really changed my life.”
  • “In my humanity, I also allowed my ego to get in. And I regretted the time I wasted in things that did not matter with people that matter. As I reflected on that, I decided to eliminate negative energy from my life. I no longer try to be right. I choose to be happy.
  • “I was given the gift of a miracle, of not dying that day. I was given another gift… which was to be able to see into the future and come back and live differently.”

Start spreading the news… :))) #NYC (Taken with instagram)

Four hours delayed so far. This baby is keeping me entertained! :) She’s soo joyful and excited and fearless and curious, while all the adults look so serious, tired, and worried.

It’s my favorite time…

Sharing is caring time!!! hahaha =D

I just discovered this blog, and it’s absolutely wonderful! It’s called Letters of Note. As the website describes it, “Letters of Note is an attempt to gather and sort fascinating letters, postcards, telegrams, faxes, and memos.”

This one I found particularly lovely. :)

The truth is, somehow, way down inside, without her ever finding lipstick on the collar or catching a man in the flimsy excuse of where he was till three A.M, a wife does know, and with that knowing, some of the magic of this relationship disappears.

There is an old law of physics that you can only get out of a thing as much you put in it. The man who  puts into the marriage only half of what he owns will get that out.

Any man can find a twerp here and there who will go along with cheating, and it doesn’t take all that much manhood.

If you truly love a girl, you shouldn’t ever want her to feel, when she sees you greet a secretary or a girl you both know, that humiliation of wondering if she was someone who caused you to be late coming home.

You’ll never get in trouble if you say “I love you” at least once a day.

"There has never been a person like you before, there is not anybody else like you right now in the whole world, and there will never be anybody like you. Just see how much respect God has paid to you. You are a masterpiece — unrepeatable, incomparable, utterly unique. Even the hardest heart, the rock-like heart, will start melting in gratitude."

The Carpe Diem Series

I’m starting what I’m calling the CARPE DIEM series! Yahoooo! No one’s excited but me! hahaha :)

Every week, I’ll do something I’ve never done or go somewhere I’ve never been.

It doesn’t have to be anything big but significant enough to break my routine. (i.e. Take a different route to work, try a sport, wake up early and watch the sunrise, take a class, learn about a different religion/culture, take a quick road trip, smile at all the strangers I see, do something I always thought I was bad at doing, contribute my time/energy to a worthy cause, etc.) Pretty much any activity that I feel will contribute to my growth!

Who wants to join me? :)

Less thinking. More doing.
Less doubting. More believing.
Less fearing. More living.
